Typing as a named skill
These vacancies care about words per minute, language (English, Hindi, regional), and sometimes shorthand or legal formatting. A generic data-entry resume is weaker than one that states measured speed and the documents you have produced.
Court, clinic, and publishing offices still hire typists under that title. Product companies rarely do — they will say content or operations instead.
Where the jobs sit
Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and state-capital private offices appear often. Fully remote typist roles exist for transcription; they still need a quiet room and a real employer on the card.
Official stenographer or LDC government posts are not what JobBucket republishes. Use commission sites for those.
